Family Dance Night

Monthly Family Dance Nights are returning in 2020

Sunday March 1 and Sunday April 5  from 3:30 -5:30pm                                                 at Fusion Physical Therapy and Pilates, 301 Columbia St, Olympia 98501

An evening full of laughter, movement, friendship and play; truly for all ages as grandparents and infants, schoolchildren and even some teens come together for the joy of dancing.

The two hours flows between structured movement activities and free dancing. We bring the music, scarves, costumes and popcorn; you bring the whole family and your desire to dance.

Activities like: braindance, which gives you a brain/body warm up; shape museum, where your dance takes you to interlocking shapes with others; rivers, rocks and bridges, which morph and flow on the floor; dancing with scarves; or riding on a pull cloth; all combine to make an interactive, creative and playful night.

A variety of music; old and current, in many styles, changes the mood and gives everyone a chance to do their kind of dance (you can even bring a favorite tune for us to play).

Linda Sisson of Full Circle Parenting, Bob Sisson of Mukauna Marimba and I began leading this event in November 2004, and now we are back after a 7 year hiatus. It’s been a joy getting to know families and watching little dancers as they grow.
